What happens to pets when they die?

So I speak to animals, most people think I’m crazy, and on most days I think I’m crazy… It must be par for the course as I was watching Theresa Caputo the other day she said What?! I am actually speaking to a dog here!

Many people are curious to know what happens to our pets when they die. Just like humans, the souls of our pets do not ‘die’. Their spirits often stay with us following their ‘physical’ death, but their spirits remain to provide us with the same companionship and love as they did when they were alive. They also stay behind after they cross over to help us grieve. Just like humans the love we share does not end.
Animals who they knew can react to their spirit when they visit after their crossing over. You may notice your cat playing with someone who is not in the room, or new dog barking at an “imaginary” dog on his blanket… So what happens to our pets when they die?
Animals are alive and well on the ‘Other Side’. All the animals that exist on earth, exist on ‘The Other Side’ – without fear or aggression – and they are appropriately cherished and respected as the pure, innocent spiritual creatures that they are. When our time is right to cross over we are greeted by those who we loved in this life and this includes our animals. When our animals die, they are also greeted by loved ones. That being said animals can stay behind in spirit to guide us as Animal Guides. I find this common for those wanting to develop animal communication skills or even in one reading I did where beloved Gypsy the mouse is staying behind in spirit and will incarnate into a guide dog for a special child. Animal souls evolve from wild animals to farm animals and then to domesticated animals – I am told by my spirit guide Raven that it is only when an animal becomes self-aware that its soul continues after death and starts the long process of climbing the evolutionary ladder towards human and angelic consciousness. For many animals, this journey starts if it receives love from a human. In particular, pets and domestic animals gain a sense of identity because of prolonged exposure to humans. Our consciousness “rubs off” on them, so to speak, causing them to forsake much of their instinctive nature and start to develop free will. This is why I encourage communication with animals because humans are helping the animal progress spiritually. The guardian is thereby helping to create a new soul. I suppose you could say that pets are children in a real sense, for their souls are brand new! Strangely enough – I love synchronicities… as I was preparing for this address, I was led to find this verse from Ecclesiastes which speaks about the animals soul. "…19 For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same. As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no advantage for man over beast, for all is vanity. 20 All go to the same place. All came from the dust and all return to the dust.
